There is a draft proposal to include the lakefill portion of Sam Smith Park in the City’s list of Environmentally Sensitive Areas. This would give the park a greater degree of protection. Friends of Sam Smith Park has requested that two additional areas of our park be considered as well.

A map and description of these can be accessed at this link.

It is important to be there (A) to support the City’s report and (B) to lend weight to the inclusion of the two added areas. Hope to see you there.
