Next MCHS get together is in TORONTO at 12:30 pm on Friday, May 24, 2019; next KITCHENER event is at 12:30 pm on June 7, 2019

We had a great time in Kitchener at our MCHS luncheon in Kitchener on Thursday, April 25, 2019.

When I informed Graeme Decarie in Ottawa of this, he said to me at once: “Nobody has a great time in Kitchener.”

Well, Graeme, we are always open to a sharing of a diversity of viewpoints regarding Kitchener (as with Toronto, Fredricton, Moncton, Montreal, and Ottawa, of course)!

Next Mandarin get together is in TORONTO at 12:30 pm on Friday, May 24, 2019.

Next Kitchener get together in KITCHENER is tentatively set for Friday, June 7, 2019. We had spoken of meeting at a Boston Pizza in Kitchener where we met for MCHS 2015 planning meetings but Gina has learned the restaurant is closed. The nearby Chapters bookstore and a number of other restaurants in that area have also closed, Gina notes.

So we will find another location. [Update: We will meet at 12:30 pm on June 7, 2019 at the same Mandarin restaurant in Kitchener where we met last time. I’ve checked with people and based on feedback have determined this is the best option.]

Person-to-person meetings are a great experience. At our get together on April 25, 2019 we spoke (among many other topics of interest) about the differences between small cities and big ones, ate well, and (naysaying from Ottawa notwithstanding, of course) had a good time.

We also spoke about the MCHS 1969 Reunion that will take place in Montreal in June, 2019; we strongly support this event and are keen to help out in publicizing it:
