An Oct. 29, 2019 Niagara This Week article is entitled: “Randwood proceedings delayed again: SORE witness ordered to answer Solmar/Two Sisters’ questions.”
The opening paragraphs read:
Legal proceedings between the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Solmar/Two Sisters, and the resident group Save Our Rand Estate (SORE) have been delayed yet again.
Solmar/Two Sisters’ application to quash the town’s bylaw and notices of intention to designate Randwood under the Ontario Heritage Act, heard at the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse on Oct. 21, has been adjourned until the week of Jan. 6, 2020.
The delay, according to Michael Melling, a lawyer for Solmar/Two Sisters, was caused by an affidavit SORE’s legal team presented before the court – the sworn testimony of Michael McClelland, of ERA Architects, who alleged demolition by neglect.
