Bill Zufelt of the Long Branch Neighbourhood Association notes that Wm. Braybrooke Bayley was a composer (recordings available on CD), organist, and award-winning amateur photographer of the late 1890s.

Bill Zufelt adds that the photo was taken at the Bayley Cottage in Long Branch in 1893.
