Message from David Juliusson of Long Branch who strongly argues in favour of a community meeting on the development of 220 Lake Promenade

The following reply is from Matt Cook, Director of Operations, Office of Councillor Amber Morley, Ward 3, Etobicoke-Lakeshore:

Hi David,

Thank you for your comments. I appreciate that the LBNA was able to hold an emergency meeting on such short notice, I was actually in attendance at that meeting. However that was a meeting that had a lot of uncertainty making it difficult to answer important questions.

This is a very large and complicated application. City Planning and Engineering staff will need time to conduct a fulsome review of this application before they can answer questions at a public meeting knowledgeably. For this reason, we do not want to rush this process.

Our office will be continuing to coordinate our outreach efforts to the affected tenants. We also do intend to hold the Tenant meeting in-person, if it is at all possible to do so. In-person is our preference as well.

The rest of your comments and concerns are noted.

Take care,

Matt Cook (He/Him)

Director of Operations

Office of Councillor Amber Morley

Ward 3, Etobicoke-Lakeshore
