MCHS Class of 1979 35th Reunion takes place in Laval, Quebec on Aug. 8, 2014

I’m pleased to let you know of an MCHS class of 1979 35th Reunion that is taking place on Aug. 8, 2014.

If you live in Montreal and want to be a last-minute attendee, who knows? Send me a message and I’ll pass it along.

We are hoping to get documentation from the event.

We’re always keen to know about reunions related to Malcolm Campbell High School. Such events occur regularly, in scenic locations around the world!

Hey fellow ’79 Graduates. Wish I could be with you in Montreal to celebrate our 35th reunion.

Thanks to all who have helped organize the event. I wonder if there will be any live streaming of the reunion for those of us who are too far away to make it. We are currently living on the Shetland Islands in the UK.

Best to all and much health and happiness,
    J xo

Good to read your message, JoAnne. I’ve passed it along to Karen A Must (see Comment below) via Facebook. She is attending the event today.

I like the concept of live streaming for reunion events. We will explore the possibility of that application for the MCHS Sixties Reunion, which will be held at Old Mill Toronto on Oct. 17, 2015 (next year).

I’ve enjoyed reading about the Shetland Islands life as it existed many years ago, when the Canadian sociologist Erving Goffman conducted field work for his doctoral dissertation:

The work forms the basis of Goffman’s influential study, The Presentation of Self in Everyday Life (1959).

I also have an interest in the work of Goffman’s daughter, Alice Goffman:
