December 2013 ice storm photos from Brampton (Mike James)

Mike James, who co-leads the Jane’s Walk we organize each May in Long Branch, has shared some great photos of the December 2013 Ice Storm as viewed in Brampton, where he lives.

I’m reminded, with regard to the first of the photos, of a Dec. 22, 2013 Toronto Star article entitled: “Ice storm cuts swath of destruction on Bolton street.”

The subhead reads: “Once lined with trees more than 25 years old, De Rose Ave. was a scene of destruction with up to 40 trees downed, according to one resident.”
