We have schedules a get-together at the Conference Room at the Stay Inn for the evening of Friday, starting at 7:30 pm on October 16, 2015;

You can access details here:

An informal get-together of MCHS 2015 attendees (and other MCHS grads) scheduled for the Stay Inn for October 16, 2015 at 7:30 pm

Other venues for small get-togethers

The Home Smith Jazz Bar at Old Mill Toronto is also a possible place for people to meet. The jazz starts at 7:00 pm, at which time there is a $10 cover charge. Seating at the pub is first come, first served.

Timothy’s Pub is an option for people who would like to take in some live music on Friday, Oct. 16, 2015. On the Friday evening a band called Parkside Drive will be playing.

The pub is at 344 Brown Line between Horner Ave. and Lake Shore Blvd. West in South Etobicoke. That’s about a 15-minute walk form the Stay Inn.

The phone number is 416-201-9515.

In the event you plan to visit Timothy’s Pub and are staying at Stay Inn (or even if you aren’t), I would recommend that you get a taxi or arrange for a Designated Driver to drive you back to Stay Inn. I would not recommend walking from Timothy’s Pub very late at night unless there is a substantial number of people walking to Stay inn together.

Places to eat on Friday

If you’ve booked a room at Stay Inn, some dining options on the Friday include any restaurant at Sherway Gardens, a 15-minute walk to the west along Evans Ave. from the Stay Inn.

Not far from the Stay Inn is a restaurant that is a popular place for small groups to meet; the round tables make for great conversations. That restaurant is the Mandarin Restaurant  on the Queensway. Reservations are recommended.

Update

Just to let you know, in case you like to visit new places, a Sept. 21, 2015 Toronto Star article is entitled:

Expanded Sherway Gardens opens doors Tuesday: A $550 million expansion includes 50 new stores, more parking and a new food court that can seat more than 1,000
