The following message is from Ward 6 Councillor Mark Grimes’ Office:

Dear Neighbour,

My historical night event is just days away, and I would be extremely pleased to have you join me in celebration of the many memories and stories of the Lake Shore and its distinct neighbourhoods.

Having grown up and raised a family in South Etobicoke, I have seen the community grow and transform, and I want to see the memories of each neighbourhood preserved for many years to come.

It is my hope that this evening will bring together both long-time and new residents to discuss, share and learn about our community’s rich history. Ultimately, I hope that photos and artifacts residents may have in their homes, garages or attics can be submitted to the City’s Archives in order to ensure these important stories are not lost.
