Statement regarding Randwood Estate
The Town is aware of the recent activities which have taken place at the Randwood Estate property. Earlier this week, Town staff, along with the Town’s Heritage Planner were on site of the Randwood property, along with the owner and their consultants.
Based on this site visit, we believe that significant damage has been done to the Dunnington-Grubb landscape features on the property.
The information obtained from the site visit, as well as all other necessary information has been forwarded to the Town’s legal counsel for review and guidance. The Town’s lawyers are investigating the matter and will take all appropriate legal action available to them. If charges are laid, the Town will be seeking all remedies available to it under the Ontario Heritage Act, including but not limited to an order for the restoration of the heritage landscape features.

Statement regarding Randwood Estate
The Town’s legal counsel and Heritage Consultant have been working diligently to prepare the necessary documents for court. The Town’s legal counsel advised that they have communicated numerous times to Solmar/Two Sisters’ lawyer of the intended course of action. An injunction will be filed as early as Monday which will be before a judge on Thursday, November 29th. Charges under the Heritage Act will also be submitted to the courts.
