Hi Folks,

I thought you might be interested in this event and may want to share the information with friends, on your website, blog or social media.

The In Situ event scheduled for Oct 27,28 & 29th at the Small Arms Building – on Lakeshore @ Dixie Rd.

The event is called In Situ … and it will animate and reopen the abandoned Small Arms Inspection Building for two days of high school outreach, and three evenings of art installation, dance, theatre and music. And … Humber students are involved! Students from Humber’s Visual and Digital Arts program, Music students, Police Foundation, Fire, and Child and Youth Care students will be involved as artists, performers, outreach mentors and volunteers during the event.

On the 27, & 28 over 600 local high school students will be involved in the building, participating in heritage, environment, and arts workshops and mentoring. During the evening the building will be a hub of performance and art installations, including a bar and BBQ operated by the local Lion’s Club. (Proceeds going to the reinvention of the building as a Creative Hub for our community.)

Thanks to the Humber College Community Fund – In Situ is being supported by Humber as a community outreach initiative. I have attached an e-post card, and poster:

Humber’s logo is not on the poster as confirmation of our sponsorship missed the print deadline. However – the logo is on the event website … http://smallarmsbuilding.ca/ and will be featured on the sponsor wall during the event and in the program.

Please share with anyone who may be interested.

Thank you,

Jem
