DATE OF NEXT MEETING:

Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 – 19:00 – 21:00

Location:  LAMP Community Health Centre
185 Fifth Street, on the Birmingham Bike Lane

In partnership with the Lakeshore Planning Council Corp. and Cycle Toronto, the Etobicoke-South Etobicoke Cycling Committee will be holding a meeting on Dec. 13 from 7 to 9 PM.

Our main issue is we want to have a visioning session for Wards 5 and 6. What connections to the exisitng bike lanes do we want? What infrastructure is missing? How do we connect to other areas of the city?

We will also look at athese additional issues.

1. Etobicoke and Mimico Creek updates. Work has begun on Etobicoke Creek. Members will be attending the Ministry of Transportation session on Etobicoke Creek on December 8. Did anything new come from it?

2. The cycling transportation subcommittee update.

3. The Pan Am games are coming and some of the cycling events might be in Etobicoke. Is there an opportunity to get some infrastructure out of it?

4. Other items.

The meeting is open to anyone with an interest in cycling or issues in Wards 5 and 6.
