The Gems of the Lakeshore is a project that I strongly support.

The Gems of the Lakeshore celebration for 2013 takes place on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 8:00 pm at the Assembly Hall located at 1 Colonel Samuel Smith Park Drive.

The public is cordially invited to attend this event.

As noted in a first link in the first sentence of this blog post:

The Gem of the Lakeshore was created to appreciate small business and service organizations that are unique to South Etobicoke and make our community a more vibrant place to live.

Anyone in the general public can recognize their favourite Etobicoke-Lakeshore small business or community organization within Ward 6 boundaries.

The Gem submissions are reviewed by a community panel in conjunction with the Lakeshore Joint BIA Committee.
