2013 Rotary Youth Civic Leadership Awards – Deadline June 15, 2013

Nominations are now open for the 2013 Youth Civic Leadership Awards sponsored by Rotary Etobicoke.

Do you know a resident of Etobicoke under the age of 21 as of January 1, 2013 who has demonstrated sustained leadership, initiative, involvement and engagement? These innovative and visionary young leaders should be making voluntary contributions aimed at creating positive change within the Etobicoke community.

Please find attached the information page and the application form for the awards. There are 5 awards: $1000, two at $750, and two at $500. Let’s be sure to acknowledge and celebrate the success of our youth! Check out the requirements and apply before June 15!

Get Outside Ontario is a non-profit organization offering a FREE program to youth this summer.  Information has been distributed to TDSB schools, but in an effort to reach as many students as possible, Trustee Gough wanted to inform you of the program available to students and schools in the Etobicoke-Lakeshore area.

Get Outside Ontario aims to empower youth between the ages of 14 and 18 to become eco-leaders in their communities by equipping them with the necessary skills and tools to succeed! Important dates include July 22 – 26 and August 12 – International Youth Day.

Please find attached the poster as well as an information page which provides more details. If you have any questions, please call:
