I have updated an earlier post about the use of the lidar device in archaeological research
Tibetan Marches (1956) and So Close to Heaven (1995) offer accounts of travels in times when parts of the Earth were still exotic.
Stories about lost ancient cities, rediscovered by application of the lidar device, similarly interest me. In that regard, I’ve updated a previous post about the discovery of an archaeological site in Honduras.
I have updated the latter post with a link to, and excerpts from, an August 16, 2013 Globe and Mail article about the use of lidar in the discovery of an ancient city in Cambodia.
