The Lambton House, 4066 Old Dundas St., hosts a heritage talk about heritage trees and why they should be preserved on Oct. 13.

The presentation, by Edith George, will focus on a red Oak tree in her neighbourhood and what its past owners have contributed to Canada during various armed conflicts.

Doors open at 7 p.m. with the presentation starting at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be available. A goodwill donation is appreciated.
