Ward 1 Councillor Jim Tovey outlines Mississauga’s massive (and yet, human-scale) waterfront redevelopment projects

In this video at Vimeo.com, City of Mississauga Ward 1 Councillor Jim Tovey – a key player in the Lakeview Waterfront Connection project, the Small Arms project, and Inspiration Lakeview – describes a series of massive (and yet, human-scale) redevelopment projects currently underway in Port Credit and Lakeview.

A previous video from the same May 23, 2017 community meeting, held at Clarke Hall in Mississauga and organized by the Town of Port Credit Association (TOPCA), features former mayor Hazel McCallion.

In the video, McCallion notes that its approach to development has ensured that Mississauga’s waterfront on Lake Ontario is preserved.

This approach, she adds, stands in strong contrast to the one adopted by Toronto.
