A local resident seeks photos of the original Long Branch Public and Continuation School that once faced Lake Shore Blvd. West

The following message is from a south Etobicoke resident named Stephen; if you can help him in his photo-search, please let us know!:

I am a lover of history and have grown up in the area of Mimico and have family ties to Long Branch. I love this history that you share here. I currently work at James S. Bell J.M. School where my mother attended over 55 years ago. I have been trying to find photos of the original Long Branch Public and Continuation School that once faced Lake Shore Blvd. and have turned up nothing.

My mother speaks of a beautiful and grand building that she was the last grade eight class
to graduate from, before the building was replaced by the current building on 31st Street.

If you know of any documentation or photos of this piece of Long Branch history, please point me in the right direction. Again, I so appreciate what you do here and hope that you
continue to keep our local history alive for generations to come.

Thank you for your time.
