RELEASE: Doug Holyday Campaign’s Desperation On Full Display

Following news release is from the Peter Milczyn Campaign:

(Etobicoke) Since Doug Holyday’s first all-candidate’s debate where he yelled at a reporter whose story he didn’t like, the Holyday campaign has had a rough number of days:

• Candidate proposed more parking spots as a solution to GTA’s transit woes.

• Circulated a voting record that highlighted Councillor Holyday’s opposition to a study of an extension to the TTC Bloor-Danforth Subway from Kennedy Subway Station.

• Candidate lost temper on City Hall reporters who questioned the Holyday campaign’s lack of support from City Council colleagues whose last name is not “Ford”.

• Skipped out on the South Etobicoke Youth Alliance debate on Thursday claiming he was fighting for subways when the subway debate and vote was the day before.

• Holyday sign crew placed dozens of signs outside of the riding boundaries.

• Holyday campaign erroneously mailed out hundreds of pieces of campaign literature to residents of the Parkdale–High Park riding.

The mistakes and acts of desperation continue to add up for the Ford-Holyday campaign.

“A candidate who skips out on a youth debate has no business calling anyone a chicken,” said Liberal candidate Peter Milczyn.

“With lots of support and signs in the riding, my campaign team and I are energized and sprinting towards the finish line. I can tell you, Kathleen Wynne’s message of creating jobs and helping people with their everyday lives is resonating in Etobicoke-Lakeshore.”
