The following message, concerning the Lakeview Waterfront Connection Environmental Assessment project, is from Michael Charendoff of the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority:
The Region of Peel and Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) appreciates your continued interest and participation in the planning of the Lakeview Waterfront Connection Project Environmental Assessment (LWC Project EA). The goal of the LWC Project is to create a new natural park that will establish ecological and public linkages on the eastern Mississauga waterfront.
We would like to formally invite you to the third Public Information Centre (PIC) for the LWC Project EA which will be held on November 20, 2013 at Oasis Convention Centre, 1036 Lakeshore Rd E, Mississauga. Please find attached the official notice for the upcoming PIC. All are welcome to participate in the consultation for the LWC Project at the meeting, by email, or post.
Since we presented the Preferred Alternative in early April, there have been a number of comments received regarding the transition of the LWC Project into the beach at Marie Curtis Park west. Over the last few months, the LWC Project team has refined the Preferred Alternative in response to those comments. The purpose of this PIC is to present and discuss refinements to the Preferred Alternative and the detailed effects assessment in advance of the release of the Draft EA. We plan to submit the Draft EA to the Ministry of Environment for review in December, 2013.
All of the LWC Project documents and updates continue to be available at the LWC Project website: http://www.creditvalleyca.ca/lwc.
Please let me know if you have any comments or questions.
Best regards,
