168 Lake Promenade in Long Branch, South Etobicoke, in the City of Toronto
I’m pleased to share with you the following message from Malcolm Archer of the Ratepayers Association of South Long Branch (RASL).
Sent: Thursday, June 28, 2012
Subject: 168 Lake Promenade
Once again today, neighbours stood together to oppose the severance of a lot in our beautiful neighbourhood.
I wish to thank personally, those who supported us by showing up at the hearing and sending letters. The Committee are clearly swayed by the involvement of residents.
It was a unanimous vote rejecting the proposal.
We now have to wait and see if the applicant will appeal to the OMB.
Regards,
Malcolm
Additional comment
I’m pleased to share this additional comment:
Good morning
As well as the good news, noted above, concerning the Committee of Adjustment decision regarding 168 Lake Promenade, we’ve also received good news regarding 56 Thirty Ninth Street.
With the latter request, the planning department had already recommended refusal because the addition represented “overbuilding” of the lot and that’s pretty much what the committee focused on. The percentages of overbuilding were clearly presented, as part of the narrative advanced by the community.
Best,
Jaan
