Florida Project: An open-ended treatment of the events, themes, and spectacles of everyday life
I recently saw the Florida Project playing at the Revue Cinema at 400 Roncesvalles Ave. in Toronto.
I was impressed with both the film and the venue.
If you have the opportunity to see this film, I recommend it strongly.
As I noted in my film review on Twitter:
Refreshing film addresses themes in a manner that is open-ended, calling upon each viewer to arrive at her or his own reading of the events, themes, and spectacles of everyday life.

Natalie Edwards
My brief film review brings to mind all that I learned about succinctness in writing, during the period from 1975 to 1980 when I worked as a part-time freelance writer in Toronto. An editor that I worked with at Cinema Canada in those days, namely Natalie Edwards, taught me (at a time when she was still relatively young, and I was much younger still) many things, in our meetings at Cinema Canada’s Toronto office located at that time at 406 Jarvis St., about writing for a paying audience. As is the case with others who knew her across Canada, I owe many thanks to her and to her memory.
