A community forum will be held on June 24, 2013 regarding the Wesley Mimico United Church redevelopment project

The previous Wesley Mimico community forum was on April 8, 2013. An overview of the latter meeting can be found here. Additional blog posts related to the redevelopment can be found here.

The following message is from Harry Oussoren:

Friends:

The attached poster is your invitation to participate in a Community Forum conversation on housing at Wesley Mimico United Church:

poster invite re June 24 Comm’y Forum housing

The conversation is sparked by plans to “repurpose, renew, and add to” the current church facility.

Aside from providing new space for the congregation, space for community service and engagement is planned, and 36 units of housing for seniors and persons with disabilities “owned” on a life-lease” basis.

We believe the housing will give seniors an attractive alternative to consider so that they can continue living in the walkable and liveable Mimico Lakeshore neighbourhood.

Please pass on this invitation to anyone you may know interested in the church project and in housing in the community.

Thanks for your interest and help.
