I’m pleased to share with you information about some great free events related to Jane’s Walk that you can access at andthecity.eventbrite.ca

The purpose of these informal, interactive workshops is to develop Jane’s Walks on eight themes that matter in Toronto.

I learned about these events just recently, when I attended a meeting related to this year’s Jane’s Walk events.

The meetings that have been held to date include Food & the City, which took place on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm at the CSI Annex, 720 Bathurst St., Toronto. The topic was: From urban agriculture to food trucks.

CSI refers to Centre for Social Innovation.

The second event, Health & the City, was held on Saturday, March 1, 2014, 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the CSI Annex. Topic: Walking for wellness.

Art & the City – Saturday, March 8, 2014
The third event, Art & the City, is on Saturday, March 8, 2014, 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm at the CSI Annex. Topic: Public art, play, and tactical urbanism

Nature & the City – Saturday, March 15, 2014

Tech & the City – Saturday, March 29, 2014
Topic: Digital co-creation and urban places

Arrival & the City – Saturday, April 5, 2014
