Transcript featuring Ken Greenberg from recent hearing about Bill 20, regarding OMB

The following message – I have added links to it, from my previous blog posts – is from Peggy Moulder of the Lakeshore Planning Council:

You may be interested in reading the transcripts of the 2 days of parliamentary hearings on Bill 20, to release Toronto from the jurisdiction of the OMB.

The first speaker, on April 10, 2014, was Ken Greenberg for the Wellington Place Neighbourhood Association. If you don’t have time to read all the transcripts, you may wish to at least read what Mr. Greenberg had to say about the effect the OMB has on Toronto planning.

“OMB has become the de facto planning board for Toronto”

At the above-noted Hansard transcript, Ken Greenberg comments:

“In fact, what has happened in recent years is that the OMB has become the de facto planning board for Toronto, and it is fundamentally unsuited for this role.”
