I was very impressed with the recent Grand Openings of three new buildings at Humber College:

Humber College Lakeshore Campus Grand Openings took place on Jan. 26, 2017

Humber College is featuring two exhibits. I’ve discussed the first exhibit at a post entitled:

Behind the Bricks: Recovering the Stories (oral histories) of the Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital – Humber College until May 31, 2017

The current post is devoted to the second exhibit.

Through A Lens, Brightly – On display until April 29, 2017

Through A Lens, Brightly highlights the natural ecology of Colonel Samuel Smith Park through the photographs of Nancy Barrett.

The exhibit, located in the third floor hallway of the new Student Welcome and Resource Centre at the corner of Lake Shore Blvd. West and Kipling Ave., is on display until April 29, 2017.

Humber College also has artifacts, artwork, and lots of interpretive information about the history of the Lakeshore Grounds displayed throughout all three floors of the Student Welcome and Resource Centre – visitors are encouraged to explore!

Staff are already working on their next exhibit – the Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Centre will be adding new exhibits and content three times a year. For more information, visit www.lakeshoregrounds.ca

If you have any questions about the Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Centre, please contact Jennifer Bazar at Jennifer.bazar@humber.ca or call extension 4451.
