Mississauga South Historical Society Public Presentation at Riverwood Conservancy, Chappell Estate – Tuesday, July 31, 2018 @ 7 PM
Following message is from Jonathan Giggs of Mississauga:
Our next event is next Tuesday July 31 at 7 PM when we travel to Mississauga’s hidden gem The Chappell Estate at The Riverwood Conservancy. Our speaker is Dave Taylor, the Conservancy’s Education Program Consultant and renown author and wildlife photographer.
Dave’s talk is entitled Coyote: The Wolf Among Us. Coyotes continue to make headlines, especially in urban areas. Dave has photographed coyotes across their range as well as conducted extensive research to develop this engaging presentation that looks at their history and their future. With his unique combination of science, humour and storytelling, Dave’s presentations are always entertaining and enjoyable, visual in nature and contain Dave’s own photographs and drawings. If time permits and the weather co-operates, Dave will provide a tour of the Chappell house and a short guided tour of the surrounding summer stories.
Please join us for this free event and bring a friend. Please also feel free to forward this message to any you think might be interested.
The Riverwood Conservancy is located at 4300 Riverwood Park Lane, just north of Burnhamthorpe Road West at The Credit Woodlands. You will pass my favourite piece of public art in Mississauga at the entrance and I have attached a photograph below [Note from Jaan Pill: I have not posted it, as I do not want to work too hard, at tasks connected with my blogging]. https://www.theriverwoodconservancy.org/directions.html.
